Having multiple partners. Wrong or good?

Having multiple partners is becoming a norm and trend in our society today.with a lot of factors being considered as the reason why so many folks prefers having a multiple dates over one faithful partner.

Several reasons why people prefer to date multiple partners.

The fear of disappointment

the fear of being left with a broken heart in the course of being committed to one partner.

Ever heard of the saying “do not put all your eggs in one basket?this describes the degree of fear  associated with single dating. It is the fear of uncertainity. But viewing this from the other angle, this particular type of fear is not limted to dating alone, but to every other aspects of life.

It is not out of bound to feel a bit of insecurity when in a relationship, it is  natural to feel skeptical  about a relationship. especially when there is no form of assurance or closure from the other concerning the fate of the relationship. Hence the thought of having a multiple partners.

Past dating experiences

This is the most common reason why people double date.a lot of people are struggling so hard to move on from their past.

These group of people were  jilted, betrayed and taken for granted by the one they once took as a priority.

They are battling everyday to let go of their past, but the emotional trauma  keeps hunting them.

 

They can’t keep their minds off it.  They have totally given up on love as a result of the disappointment by their Ex-fiancee, loosing other potential suitors for the sake of their relationship and yet being disappointed at the end, showing love but not getting it in return, being cheated on couple of times, Such emotional trauma has made them develop a wrong mindset about love and relationship.

In such that they began doubting its existence. They now see love as a thorn in the flesh.

These group of people are the one who usually use the statement. “All men are the same. “All women are the same.

Some had resolved not to be committed to any man or woman again.

But rather avenge their broken heart by having multiple partners. And ironically, one out of this partner might truly be committed to them. But unfortunately, they became a victim of something they knew nothing about.

Cheating habit

Cheating has undoubtedly turned to a habit to some people. Unfortunately, People who cheat a lot often finds it difficult to be committed to one partner.

Often times, this habit usually begins when single and proceeds even when  married. because it has become a part of them. Such people see cheating as fun. No matter how good  their partner is, they can never be satisfied.

Ignorance of one’s desire

Some people have multiple partners not really because they desire to but because they simply don’t know  what they desire in an individual.

Such individuals  can be in a relationship with someone who takes care of them. And yet, easily falls for another who tries to persuade them with a sugar coated mouth.   This group of people easily fall cheap to lies and deciet because they don’t understand what it means to be in a relationship, and what they desire to achieve at the end. You see them in every dating forum always  seeking for advice .

They often use the phrase like “please advise me,,i am in love with two men.”

Having know several reasons  why people chose to have multiple partners, the next question is, is it really  good or wrong idea? Is it the best avenue to  revenge after undergoing through series of heartbreak and betrayals? is it the best decision to make,in other to avoid future uncertainities or disappointment?the simple answer is No!!! having multiple partners   is not the right choice and can never be, irrespective of your reasons.  It comes with a lot of emotional and pyschological effects.

 

Effects of having multiple partners.

It leads to Promiscuity.

You can’t possibly have multiple partners without having to lead a promiscious lifestyle.

Promiscuity is one of the characteristic of people engaging in multiple affairs. They indulge in all form of immoral behaviours, such as illicit sex, excessive intake of contraceptive pills, abortions e.t.c. thereby endangering their lives and future with sexually transmitted diseases. Multiple affairs will be a wrong decision for singles who had chosen to remain Celibate till marriage.

Loss of opportunity

no matter the degree of hurt or betrayal you might have experienced in the past, engaging in multiple affairs with the intention of getting avenge is not the best decision.

This is because you really don’t know who actually took you serious and have decided to show you genuine love.

And by having multiple partners, you are  ruining that chances. Just like other aspects of life, the future is unpredictable. you really don’t know  that business, skills or career that has been destined to elevate you .which implies that you have to be consistent at all times. Similarly,  Don’t give upon love yet, it may find you sooner than expected.

Don’t allow a past experience change your good heart. you are likely to meet some one you are compatible with soon.

It can affect one’s marriage

Remember habit is not formed in a day, it begins gradually, then proceeds to an advanced stage.

People who cheat on their spouse didn’t just begin in marriage. it all started when they were single. They cultivated that habit,and it grew with them.  they were having multiple partners with the wrong assumption that they were having fun.

As soon as they found someone with their desirable quality, they decided to settle down. But unfortunately, discovered that they still couldn’t quit cheating on their spouse. A lot of them are not happy with such lifestyle, but they are finding it difficult to quit.

And thus may affect their marriage.Don’t engage in multiple affairs with the intention of quitting when you get married. Most times, is not as easy as presumed. especially when it has become an Addiction . Discipline your self to lead a good life style in other avoid such future re-occureance.
